This guy called saying it was about my "auto contract", so I told him to check his info before trying to scam me since I don’t own a car. He got all annoyed and a bit pushy, kept saying he had a special deal for me. I just kept telling him I don’t have a car, then he hung up. Later I realised he actually said O2, not auto - guess that’s what happens when someone with a thick accent talks too fast and wakes me up! By the way, I do have a car and I’m with O2, but I’m defo blocking that number now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 02. I told him he wasn’t, since I’d just spoken to 02 the last time he rang me. Then he started asking which 02 number I called. Ridiculous! I told him I wasn’t having any of it and wished him a good day before hanging up.

Got a call from O2 about my renewal - apparently it was overdue. As soon as the guy started talking about "free texts" and stuff (which is a bit of a giveaway, since everyone gets those anyway), I clocked it was dodgy. Told him I always handle upgrades on the app and that I was at work. He sounded annoyed and just hung up on me. Tried ringing the number back and guess what? It’s dead! Hilarious.

Really risky scam this one. They wanted my card details to stop the annoying scam calls, but I already pay by direct debit. Then they tried to get my address and email too. Best to just block the number straight away.
