I received a rather dodgy call from a chap claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. He was touting an iPhone 14 for a mere £29.99 along with unlimited data, which, let’s be honest, sounded too good to be true. It quickly became evident he was nothing more than a scam artist aiming to pinch my bank details. I’ve not only blocked the number but also made a report to the authorities! Be cautious, everyone!

Totally a scam, I asked loads of questions and worked out they were pretending to be from Carphone Warehouse offering some insanely cheap iPhone contract. They then demanded a £60 security deposit before anything else - that’s a big red flag, no legit company asks for that. Security deposits just don’t happen with deals like these.

Got a call showing the number on my screen. Some bloke with a muffled voice tried to tell me he could sort me out with a new phone deal. I calmly told him I’d already got one and wasn’t looking for anything else. He then insisted I should hear him out, but I just said no thanks quite nicely. Then out of nowhere he told me to “go f**k yourself” and slammed the phone down. Proper cheeky behaviour, so I’ve blocked the number now.
