I received a rather dodgy call from a chap claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. He was touting an iPhone 14 for a mere £29.99 along with unlimited data, which, let’s be honest, sounded too good to be true. It quickly became evident he was nothing more than a scam artist aiming to pinch my bank details. I’ve not only blocked the number but also made a report to the authorities! Be cautious, everyone!

I believe this to be a scam. I posed several questions and it became clear that they were impersonating Carphone Warehouse, offering an absurdly cheap deal on a new iPhone contract. However, they insisted on a £60 security deposit upfront, which immediately raised my suspicions-there's never a need for such a deposit in legitimate contracts. This is not legit at all!

I again expressed my lack of interest, and to my astonishment, he then told me to “go do one” before abruptly disconnecting. Quite shocking behaviour, really. I’ve since blocked the number.
