Just ended the call abruptly.

When I answered there was nothing but some faint voices I could hear in the backround. I ended up hanging up and trying to ring back, but then an automatic voice said the number wasn’t valid or didn’t exist. Very strange!

Got a call from 01236953287, some guy with an Asian accent claiming he’s from Windows. Said my computer had been hit with some malicious code. When I asked whether he was actually from Microsoft, he insisted he was. Then I asked where exactly his company was based - apparently London, UK. But as soon as I requested a postal address, he just cut me off. Seemed fishy to me!

On 19 March at about 12:44 in the afternoon, I got a call. I said my name out loud since I work from home and it’s kinda part of the routine. Right after that, the call just cut off. Looks like they were just checking who was on the other end, probably so they can use my name for future scam calls.

Somebody rang saying they were calling from BT and told me I could get 35% off my next bill. Thing is, I’m not a BT customer at all. I decided to mess about a bit, but as soon as I asked what I had to do to get this supposed discount, the person just ended the call. Bit odd if you ask me.

Got a call early morning around 8.12am from someone saying they were BT. The guy had an Asian accent and I could hear a little kid yelling in the background. He said my internet was being hacked. I told him I’d ring BT back on the official number to check, but then he warned my internet would be disconnected straight away. I just hung up. Then a bit later, I got another call from a nearly identical number (01236957845). Neither of us spoke this time, so I ended the call again.
