Phone number ☎️ 01236804940 👆 is reported as associated with persistent scams targeting individuals, including vulnerable and elderly people. Callers falsely claim pending payments for contracts never entered into, attempting to coerce victims into sending money without providing proof. They also fraudulently sell ineffective devices purported to block unwanted calls, only to demand additional payments later. Such tactics are deceptive, exploit trust, and cause financial loss. Victims are advised to verify any payment requests carefully, avoid engaging with unsolicited callers, and consider more reliable solutions like phones with built-in nuisance call blocking features. Vigilance and scepticism towards unexpected demands for money over the phone are essential to avoid falling victim to these unscrupulous practices.

11 yearsFraudulent activity!11 yearsI received a rather dubious phone call today, where the caller insisted that I need to fork out an additional £99 for a contract I apparently signed up for a year ago. Naturally, I informed them that I wouldn’t be handing over any money without proper evidence and that I intended to verify this with my bank first. Unsurprisingly, I couldn’t find any record of such a payment on my bank statement from twelve months back. The caller mentioned they’d ring me again-oh, I can hardly contain my excitement for that!11 yearsWhat a shocking episode with these con artists! They managed to call my elderly father, claiming he was inundated with spam calls. They offered him some bizarre device that plugs in between the phone and the socket, promising to block these pesky calls. When he recounted this cold call and that he'd been sold the gadget, alarm bells went off for me straight away - it reeked of a scam! Sadly, by the time I found out, he’d already forked out for it. I figured he’d been taken for a ride but said I’d help him set up this contraption. To my dismay, it was completely useless. Fast forward a few months and they ring him again, saying, "Oh, we’ve noticed you're still getting nuisance calls." Quite amusing, really, since one would assume that if their device was effective, those calls would have been eliminated! They then insisted that for a one-off payment, they could finally resolve it. My father, not wanting to be bothered with it, went ahead and paid - without looping me in, of course. After having a serious chat with him about the whole ordeal, I told him to ditch the box and write it off as a loss. That was well over a year ago, and what do we hear today? Another call from them, demanding even more cash! Absolutely disgraceful behaviour, preying on the vulnerable! Please, for the love of all things good, don’t fall into the trap of these crooks! Instead, invest in a BT phone equipped with a nuisance mode. They’re quite economical and allow you to ensure that only contacts saved in your phone can get through. I’ve got one myself, and with my dad's birthday coming up next month, I’m definitely getting him one too - chuckling about it as I type!Submit Your Own Report (01236 804940)
