He claimed he sourced my number from some kind of 'publicly accessible data', though he couldn’t specify which one. The call came from 001207306464. Initially, they claimed to be discussing medical insurance, but then they pivoted to inquire about my phone service provider. When I mentioned that I wasn't with BT, they swiftly replied that I would be getting a "complimentary, no-obligation call from BT". I made it abundantly clear that I wasn’t interested, but they disregarded my request entirely and just cut the line.

I picked up every time, and on about three occasions, there was someone on the other side trying to talk, but their English wasn’t great. Lately, we've been inundated with approximately seven calls daily from this lot. Just a couple of days back, I specifically instructed them to take our number off their list, as we're registered with the TPS. Remarkably, we had a quiet day yesterday without any interruptions, but today we've already had one call. As soon as the caller asked for Mrs *, he promptly hung up! Perhaps there’s now a little warning flashing on his screen! One can only hope this puts an end to their antics!

It seems to me that there ought to be some sort of legal protection in place. After all, the very term 'ex-directory' implies that your number should remain private, right? Yet, I've received even more calls since then! They are utterly unwilling to provide any contact information for their company and insist they cannot disclose personal details. The company’s name is Connecting Customers, but I find myself entirely unable to reach anyone since they won't divulge any contact info!

They rang me multiple times today, and after much deliberation, I finally gave in and took their call to just get them off my back. I explicitly told her that I absolutely refuse to receive any more calls from anyone regarding anything. She assured me that wouldn’t be an issue. When I pointed out that BT isn't my service provider for either my landline or internet, she quickly replied, "Thank you for your time, expect a no-obligation call from BT," and then abruptly ended the call. I am INFURIATED!!!!!!
