I've received a couple of calls from this number claiming to be representatives from Microsoft, insisting that my computer had been compromised. When I mentioned I wouldn’t be powering on my device for him, he got rather cheeky and retorted, “How are you going to fix it without switching it on?” When I jokingly mentioned that he might actually be the hacker, he promptly ended the call. Quite telling, wouldn't you agree? Be wary, folks! Don’t let yourselves be taken in!

Somebody rang me saying they were from Waitrose and wanted to fix my computer problems. I just told them to find a proper job and actually do something that helps people.

I just let the call go to voicemail and later looked up the number. Loads of sites say it’s a Microsoft scam, so I wouldn’t bother picking up if I were you. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it through BT’s scam blocking thing.

Best to steer clear of these calls. Just received a dodgy one claiming to be from Microsoft. I decided to hang up rather than be impolite.

Got a call from someone claiming they were with Microsoft. Definitely a scam, so I dodged it and blocked the number using BT Call Protect. Wouldn't trust it at all.

No voicemail or anything left. Did they try twice?

Yesterday, a chap claiming to be Harry Edward reached out to my daughter. Poor thing, she was quite gullible and thought he was affiliated with Microsoft, as he asserted. He convinced her to download something called 'helpdesk' from the internet, which she did without a second thought. Now, our computer is completely knackered and won't even turn on. This morning, he rang again, insisting we fork out £10 to get the computer working again. I've already alerted the Police and reported it to Action Fraud. It’s a right scam! Everyone needs to be on high alert.

A rather garbled voice on the line claimed I should fire up my computer so he could direct me on necessary adjustments to my system. He asserted he was representing Microsoft, yet his manner left me thoroughly sceptical. After a couple of minutes of this dubious conversation, I decided it best to hang up.

I just had a right dodgy experience! Someone rang me up claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer had been compromised. When I pressed for their contact number, the cheeky blighter provided the genuine Microsoft number, but it was completely different from the one he called me from - this very one I've reported! They even rang me back four times, threatening that my computer would be shut down. It's all a bit of a shambles, really!
