Got a call from someone saying they were with BT Openreach, telling me my internet was gonna be cut off in a day. Then they said money was being taken out of my bank for every minute I stayed on the phone! I didn’t hang up right away and stopped the call as soon as they said that.

I received a rather alarming phone call purporting to be from BT Openreach who insisted that my internet service was about to be cut off within a day. To add to the drama, the caller mentioned that my bank account was losing money with every tick of the clock while I was on the line. Naturally, I decided to end the conversation right then and there.
