The background was pure chaos, like you were stuck in a busy call centre. He kept saying he was calling from British Telecom about some urgent issue with my phone and internet - which is odd since I’m not with BT. I tried to chat with him to see what this was about, but as soon as he figured out I wasn’t going to fall for anything, he just hung up. Then, about five minutes later, the same number called again. I let it ring through to answerphone, but no message was left. Honestly, I’m convinced this is a scammer operating from some overseas call centre.
