I received a telephone call from a chap who identified himself as being from India, claiming he could arrange for me to acquire solar panels at no cost, supposedly acting on behalf of the Government. Naturally, I was a bit sceptical, so he handed me over to his supervisor. The next man, also from India, initiated a rather intrusive line of questioning about whether I owned my property. When I responded that I didn’t own a house - I might have cheekily added that I reside in a box just to rile him up! - he erupted into a tirade of profanities, demanding to know why I was "wasting his bloody time." In turn, I posed the very same question and promptly hung up. My advice? Completely disregard them - it’s all a ruse to fish for personal details!

I've received calls from this number incessantly, and every time I answer, all I hear is a curt "bye" before they promptly disconnect. It's quite baffling!

Earlier today, I received a call from a chap using the number 01236610454 at precisely 12.25pm. He started off by informing me that I was eligible for a PPI refund. When I admitted that I wasn't very familiar with PPI, he offered to connect me to his manager for a more detailed explanation. The fellow's way of speaking was a bit peculiar, and then he inquired whether I was proficient in Hindi. I replied that I could manage, and suddenly he switched to Hindi. He proceeded to ask if I had taken out a loan in the past, to which I responded negatively. He insisted that I supposedly had a £5000 loan with a bank back in 2005, claiming I was entitled to compensation. I stood my ground, explaining that I had never taken out any loan, and before I knew it, he simply hung up.
