The caller ID was almost identical to my own phone number and local area. I got a recorded voice pretending to be from my bank’s fraud team, saying there were suspicious charges on my account - one for £360 and another for £1000 or something like that. They asked me to press 1 or 2 to confirm. I just ended the call straight away and called 1471 to find out who called me. Turns out the number they used is one you can easily buy from BT just for these sorts of scams.
