We received a call at the office, but it was just a brief ring that we couldn’t pick up in time.

Just like loads of other cold callers, these lot don’t seem bothered whether your number is on the telephone preference service or not. They ring from a company named Green Deal Rewards, claiming they’re backed by the Government. If you look them up, you’ll see Green Deal Rewards is a legit company, but their registered address is actually in a sheltered housing complex in Aidrie. You can verify it on Google and even check out the street view for yourself. Honestly, I’d be really careful with these guys - they might not be as genuine as they sound!

Had a woman ring me up about some government Green Deal scheme. She didn’t quite get my address right at first, so I gave her the proper details. Then she wanted to know if I was the homeowner, I just laughed and asked what it was all about, and she just ended the call!
