Like numerous cold calls, it appears that they haven't bothered to verify whether my number is on the Telephone Preference Service register. This particular call was supposedly from an outfit known as Green Deal Rewards, which claims to have some sort of backing from the Government. Interestingly, Green Deal Rewards is listed as a registered business, with their office situated in a care home complex in Airdrie. I recommend doing a bit of sleuthing yourself-just a quick Google search should suffice, followed by a peek on Google Maps and Street View. Just tread carefully when engaging with this firm; it raises a few red flags and might not be all it seems!

So, I received a call from a woman yammering on about the government's Green Deal. She had a bit of a mix-up with my address, which I promptly fixed for her. Then, out of the blue, she queried whether I owned my home. I found it rather amusing and chuckled, asking her what the relevance was. Before I knew it, she simply hung up on me! Quite the odd exchange, I must say.
