Some bloke said he was calling from a company in Pakistan about some package bank accounts. When I asked which bank, he just wouldn’t say and kept saying they owed me cash. When I pushed him for the name of my bank, he just hung up on me.

I've received calls from this number a staggering 18 times in just four days! Honestly, I’ve stopped picking up. As someone who works for myself, I already get bombarded with around 40 sales calls every month. It's just plain infuriating having to deal with this incessant ringing!

This guy, sounded Asian, called and asked me to verify my name, I did it quick and then he just ended the call. Feels like these are fraudsters collecting our personal info, once they get you to confirm stuff, they drop the call and probably plan to use your info to scam you out of money. Dodgy people!

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he knew me and started yammering about bank accounts and some small charges he could fix for me. When I asked where he got my number, he said from Human Resources. I told him that wasn’t true as I’m retired. Then he got proper annoyed when I kept asking which company, which bank, and the amounts involved - figured I’d mess about with him for a bit. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

Things took a turn as they became rather confrontational, so I decided to simply end the conversation. Moving forward, I’ll be ignoring these types of calls. If the matter is pressing, they can certainly leave a voicemail. It's rather unfortunate, though, that when waiting for a call from the doctor's office, they often hide their numbers, making it tricky to avoid these unsolicited calls. Honestly, it's puzzling why these strangers think anyone would entertain such invasive questions.

Got a call from an Indian bloke who knew my name and asked if my bank had sold me phone insurance by mistake. I told him that was a private matter and I wasn't going to answer. He started arguing, so I just ended the call. Like others have said, I’m done answering unknown numbers now - if it’s important, they can leave a message. Still baffled how they even got my details.
