Had the same thing happen to me. They rang me five times yesterday and each time the call showed up as coming from an international number, even though the number looked like a UK one. You'd think BT would be able to stop these calls since it’s clear they’re not actually from the UK.

I got hit with 5 calls today (27/09/2018) while I was out, and on three of these, the caller ID showed “International.” Over the last month, a bunch of calls from what seem like different numbers turned out to be the same scam. I doubt simply blocking these numbers will make any difference, since I reckon these scammers can fake the numbers they show. I find it hard to believe they’re really ringing from this 01235 UK area code, otherwise, it’d be really simple to track them down and the Police would probably turn up quickly.

It’s the same old rubbish. I’m really concerned that older folks, especially pensioners, end up getting tricked, and they usually do. That's exactly why these scams keep going on.

About three hours back I got a call from this number like I said earlier. I blocked it straight away. Strangely enough, they rang me once more just a couple of minutes ago. I’m really puzzled how they managed to call again when I’d already blocked them.

Got a few calls from the same number today, missed the first two but answered the last one. It was an automated message claiming to be from my internet company saying my IP was hacked by hackers abroad or something. They warned that my internet would be cut off within a day. Then it told me to press 1 to get to their engineers who could supposedly fix the IP and prevent the shutdown. Obviously I just ended the call straight away.
