Got a ring from this number earlier and it took them forever to pick up. Sounds like it was some company trying to talk about a computer issue or something like that.

Beware of this fraudulent call claiming to be from Microsoft, trying to trick you into granting them access to your computer by alleging that you've got a virus. It's baffling that law enforcement isn't taking action against these scams-someone really ought to look into it!

He claimed he was calling from Microsoft Windows, but I quickly realised he thought I was naive enough to believe that!

I received a call from someone with a distinctly Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He was keen to guide me on how to retrieve some corrupted files from my computer. Strangely enough, the only recent activity I've had online was visiting the Microsoft Learning Centre. It’s got me pondering whether there’s a chance they could have infiltrated that website to harvest personal data from unsuspecting visitors. To top it off, he rang my landline, which makes it all the more peculiar.

Got a call from this number earlier today, but when I rang it back, the phone company said it wasn’t a valid number. Proper annoying, that.

So this guy Harry rang me up saying my computer was catching some nasty virus. Funny thing is, I don’t even have a computer at home!

I received a call from a chap with an Asian accent claiming to be Peter from Windows, insisting that my computer was infected with a virus. I played along and asked him to elaborate, to which he suggested he could demonstrate the issue if I’d just hop onto my computer. I told him to wait a tick while I sorted myself out. Instead, I ended up enjoying my lunch, leaving him waiting on the line. By the time I returned, he’d vanished. Quite amusing really! Cost him a bit, I reckon. Always worth keeping them hanging!

Had a call this morning from an asian bloke, second time actually. I told him straight up I knew it was a scam. He denied it and asked me to listen as he explained why he was ringing. Then he started on about my computer being infected - yep, that confirmed it for me. I nicely asked him to take my number off his list and not bother me again. He said he couldn’t do that and threatened to call again. Really annoying, and honestly, feel bad for anyone who ends up getting tricked by this.

So, this bloke Harry from Microsoft’s tech team rings me up saying my computer’s got a virus. I just told him to quit the scams and find an actual job, and he ended up hanging up on me. Shame for Harry, really.

Dont ever expect a random call from Microsoft out of nowhere, its just a fake number they show you, plus you cant ring it back so its probably a voip line based in India. I watch loads of people on YouTube who do scambaiting - they call scammers using virtual setups and keep them busy just to catch them out on video. If these crooks call you again, those vids might give you some good tips on how to handle it.

So this guy called, sounded Asian, said he was from Windows support about some server errors - spoke really slowly. I asked him how he found my number and he said something about when I purchased Windows (should’ve checked which one, honestly). Then I asked for my IP address and he started rattling off nonsense, so I stopped playing along. Could’ve kept him chatting for ages but wasn’t bothered, had better things to do. Absolute scam, no doubt about it!

Like many others have said, someone with an Asian accent calling himself "Harry" phoned me and said he was calling from Microsoft or Windows. I just told him I wasn’t daft enough to get caught out by that sort of scam and promptly blocked the number. ๐Ÿคจ

Some bloke with an Indian accent kept calling me, and there was loads of noise in the background. He claimed to be from Windows but didn’t know my name. He kept going on about how my PC was full of dangerous files. I played along for about five minutes until he realised I wasn’t falling for it and then just hung up. Pretty sure he wanted to get remote access and infect my computer with ransomware or something dodgy like that.
