Got a call from an Indian chap saying something about "Now in the UK", asking if I rent, own my home, or live with family. I didn’t wanna give any info, so I just hung up.

Got a call from who said they were from my boiler service, sounded dodgy so I just blocked the number. Definitely felt like one of those typical scams.

They gave me the personal alarms at no cost, but then there’s this £39 a month fee for the monitoring service.

Somebody rang me about health stuff. I didn't hang around to listen to the whole spiel, just told them off, saying they shouldn’t be phoning me since I’m on the telephone preference service list.

These scammers just won’t quit ringing me up nonstop!

I received a call from someone claiming to represent a company called Safeguard, which supposedly provides neck alarms for the elderly or those in need of care. They were fishing for sensitive information like my bank details, National Insurance number, date of birth, and home address. It feels quite perilous! I'd strongly advise against engaging with these individuals. Stay safe and don’t let them wheedle any personal info out of you!

They keep chatting about some neck alarms, but honestly it’s just a trick to get your bank info. Best thing to do is just hang up and block the number. These calls are a total hassle and pointless for everyone involved!

Got a call from someone offering a free neck alarm, but I reckon it’s a scam. They want me to give my bank info and sign up for a monthly charge after that. Not falling for it!

Total rip off. Got a call from a woman who had a strong Asian accent saying they sell personal alarms meant for folks older than 60. I was gonna keep her on the line longer but ended up hanging up just a bit too early.

Someone phoned looking for a particular person and when that guy showed up sounding all serious, the caller just went quiet and ended the call.

For almost a year, I’ve been getting nonstop calls from these scammers. Last week, I decided to reach out to the police, but they said there's nothing they can do since the callers are based outside the UK. Plus, apparently, not enough folks complain to make it worth their while. Makes me wonder what’s the point of paying taxes at all.

Got a call about my boiler warranty running out, but as soon as the guy started going on about it, I just ended the call. Since I’m already covered with BG, I could tell it was one of those dodgy scams straight away.

Got a call about my boiler service contract supposedly running out. Thing is, I don't even have one! The person said the deal was just for pensioners and wanted my birth year. I jokingly said 1879, which would make me incredibly ancient, but they didn’t even blink. Then they asked which bank I use. I refused to share that info. They insisted that without it, no discount could be offered. I just said fine. Then they asked how I fix my boiler if it breaks down. I said I sort it out myself - which is a fib. They hung up after that. Definitely a scam.

I received a call from this number, with the individual claiming they were offering a discount on boiler servicing. They insisted that I needed to provide my account number and sort code, assuring me that such information was completely safe to share. I found their manner quite persuasive, but I remain cautious about sharing personal details like that.

Her spiel began as soon as she called, so I cut her off and asked straight up what scam she was trying to pull. Unsurprisingly, she hung up right away. Blocked the number before it could ring again.

I received a rather dubious phone call from someone claiming they could offer me a more affordable price on my boiler insurance. Strangely, they referred to me by a name I had concocted for a previous nuisance call. They knew where I lived, which raised my eyebrows. The caller represented a company named Home Service based in Bournemouth but was rather evasive when I asked for more specifics, insisting everything would be in some paperwork they’d send me later. They wanted my date of birth, to which I replied with a made-up one (I do feel a bit guilty about that!). They also inquired about my banking details to arrange a direct debit, but I didn’t share any of that information. I made it clear that my number is registered with TPS and that I actually don’t hold any boiler insurance. Following that, the call abruptly came to an end.

Got a call from some woman saying my boiler cover payment was going down. Funny thing is, a British Gas engineer was literally right there in the room doing my yearly service when she rang. When I told her I thought she was trying to scam me, she actually got annoyed and said she never said she worked for British Gas. Made me laugh, what a cheek!

When I picked up, it just made these weird beeping noises like from one of those old payphones. I've had a few calls like this recently, all seeming to come from UK landline numbers. Pretty sure they're just scammers trying to gather active phone numbers.
