I get a real laugh out of messing about with these scam callers. When i get one of them claiming to be from microsoft, i put on a youtube vid called windows key and r tech scammer. It demonstrates exactly what pops up on your screen if you do what they ask. So I just play the clip and do what they say along with it. Usually ends up with me wasting about 15-20 minutes of their time. My longest was 38 minutes before I got bored and logged off. Best thing is just to drag it out and waste their time instead.

This number gave me a ring just after 8am today. I thought it might be a dodgy scam, so I picked up but didn’t say a word (guessing it was some robot message about my "amazon" account or something). Luckily, it was totally silent - probably better for my blood pressure! What really winds me up though isn’t just the scam itself, but how they seem to do it without any consequences. The call logs on this site just go to show how often it happens.

Today, I had an odd fellow ring me up, insisting he was from Microsoft, and was offering me a complimentary upgrade to Windows 11. He bombarded me with a barrage of intrusive questions, and it didn’t take long for me to cotton on to the fact that I was dealing with a con artist!

When they called the second time, I told them my PC was working perfectly and I didn’t want any help. I ended the call, but then they phoned back and started asking why I ended the conversation and even warned me they’d block my computer!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. He even mentioned my address, which caught me off guard. When he said something really inappropriate, I had to ask him to repeat because I couldn't believe what I just heard. It was absolutely vile, and no amount of cables shoved where he implied would fix anything. The way he spoke was just awful. I only responded with a simple hello and asked what the actual problem was and how he managed to get my address.
