Got a call from 01235 376032 saying my electricity contract was up for renewal and I needed to sign up again to get a cheaper rate. They claimed this would lower my bills, but I found it odd since I pay using a pay-as-you-go card. They were really persistent and kept pushing me to agree. I told them to send me something in writing to back up their offer, told them they already had all my info anyway. It was quite hard to get off the phone with them.

Got two calls in about 10 mins from the same number, some Asian bloke saying he was with SSE about renewing my energy deal. Luckily I already knew the contract was up, otherwise who knows what they'd try! Proper pushy when I said don’t ring me back again.
