I received a call claiming they were a debt recovery firm, insisting that I owed £4,500 and that if I didn’t cough it up, I'd be facing legal repercussions. When I probed a bit about their company details, they rudely told me to mind my own business before abruptly ending the call. I've since blocked their number.

I received a rather alarming call today, supposedly from a chap named Richard Harper, who claimed to represent HMRC. He insisted that I had an unpaid tax bill and went on to warn me about potential legal action should I choose to disregard their claims. Quite distressing, to say the least, and clearly a fraudulent call.
