Got a call out of the blue, and they didn't bother leaving a message either.

Just got a call from some Asian bloke with a posh English name, trying to sell me a warranty for my fridge freezer. I asked if it was for the fridge or the freezer bit, and he said both. I enjoy messing with these telemarketers, so I acted clueless and threw loads of daft questions at him. When I finally asked, “Would fixing it myself cancel the warranty?” he said “Yes.” I then told him, “Funny, I’m a refrigeration engineer and fix them all day at work!” Guess what? He hung up straight away! Weird how they disappear when you flip the script.

Looks like yet another scam, with someone attempting to trick folks into handing over their cash.

Got a call from a woman saying my fridge freezer warranty had run out, which is odd cause I don't even own one. Then she kept going on about warranties on other stuff I supposedly have. It was a bit of a pest, really.

This bloke said his name was John and started on about my fridge freezer warranty being expired. He then asked when I purchased it. If he didn’t even know that, how could he be certain the warranty was up? Definitely a scam.

So I got a call from a guy who then handed me over to his manager about some kind of offer for fridge freezer repairs since my warranty’s nearly up. I got pretty wary when she started asking for my bank sort code. She said she’d call back tomorrow! She did get that I was a bit iffy about it all, given all the scams out there!! Definitely seems like one of them!

Got a call from a woman with a kind of broken English accent, she asked if [my name] was at this number, which was right. I said no, then asked who was calling. She gave me her name, but I've already forgotten it now. Said something about my fridge warranty being expired or something. I told her to buzz off, then she just hung up on me.

Got a call from some bloke with an accent saying my TV warranty was up, which is bollocks since I never bought one. I told him off pretty sharply and told him to shove off. Proper cheeky, that one.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent, telling me my fridge freezer warranty was up, even though I'd never bought one. Pretty sure it was just another scam.

I had a rather dubious experience with a woman claiming to represent a home appliance service. She suggested that my current washing machine cover had lapsed and offered to “renew” it. Total nonsense! Just a fraudulent scheme, if you ask me.

Got a ring from someone about insurance for my fridge freezer, which I don't even own. When I asked where they got my number from, they started asking about other appliances. I told them to stop calling since I’m on the Telephone Preference Service, and I’ve now blocked the number as well.

Got a call from some bloke about a warranty for my fridge freezer. Scary thing was, he actually said my name! Still, I sussed it was a scam right away and told him off before hanging up.

Ah, the classic one again - "Your freezer’s warranty has run out, time to renew it now." Honestly, these dodgy call centres need a serious crackdown by the government. They’re a right nuisance!

I got a call from 01235250523 saying my fridge freezer warranty was running out and I had to renew it. Thing is, that warranty stopped ages ago! Felt like a dodgy scam to me, just trying to get info or something.

I got a call saying my fridge/freezer warranty was about to run out, but I knew the warranty had actually ended ages back. Felt like a dodgy scam, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying something about a freezer warranty. He kept saying “toll free” number but here in the UK we usually say “freephone,” which gave me a weird feeling. When I asked where he was calling from, he just cut the call straight away. Bit suspicious, I reckon.

I got a call from a woman talking about the cover on my washing machine. At the same time, I had been waiting for a call about a new washing machine I'd bought around 5 weeks ago, which had started leaking. I was expecting someone to organise a visit from a repair engineer. But then she started saying something about the maintenance cover expiring because the machine was supposedly 2 years old. That’s when I guessed it was a scam and just hung up straight away.

I was kept waiting listening to music, told to stay on for an agent. But for what? Nobody ever got back to me, noone answered. So annoying and really irritating!

So, I received an email from icelotto saying they tried ringing me on some number that isn’t even mine. They wanted to check if they could call me and asked for my phone number. They never actually called, so I decided to email them back asking what it was about because they mentioned a free go at megamillions tonight. But now they say they won’t give it to me unless we chat on the phone first. Sounds a bit dodgy to me, but I’m not sure if it’s a scam or not.

Got a call from a woman saying our washing machine’s warranty was about to run out, since it’s over two years old. I told her I wasn’t interested in renewing it and she just ended the call. She never even said which company she was from.
