1) I picked up the phone. 2) A tune started blaring in my ear. 3) A gentleman, speaking in a perfectly normal English accent, inquired if I was “(name of my wife).” 4) I replied in the negative. 5) He let out a rather exaggerated sigh and posed the question once more. 6) Then, without further ado, he disconnected the call. (Strange, isn't it?)
