I received a recorded message inquiring whether I had been part of a recent automobile accident.

I received a rather curious call today from someone insisting that I was implicated in a car accident roughly a year and a half ago. They went on about how, being a victim of this supposed mishap, I was eligible to claim some kind of insurance payout and could potentially pocket a tidy sum. I swiftly blocked the number! The irony is, I don’t even have a car!

Got a ring from 01235 036487, answered by mistake thinkin it was my daughter - I confused Abingdon with Abington. A lady named Paige from some place called ‘??wonder solutions’ rang me up saying I was involved in a car crash and asked if that was true. I was quick to say no, very clearly told her to remove my details from whatever lists she had, and then I just ended the call. Number’s now blocked.

They said something about Alpha, and when I asked where they got that info from, they just cut me off and ended the call.
