I have also received calls from the same number, as well as 020 3634 9914 and 01988 391 997. I have blocked all three numbers, but it would be worth investigating how they obtained our information. Is it possible that renting vehicles from Enterprise may have played a role in this?

I fancied a bit of a laugh with one of those ambulance-chasing types, so I decided to play along with their routine about a supposed car accident from ages ago (which, of course, never actually happened). The moment they asked for my vehicle registration, I casually claimed I needed to dig it out from somewhere. I then set the phone down and got on with my work. A few minutes in, I could hear him droning on with a “hello”, so I picked the phone back up and said, “Just a mo, I’ll be right with you.” This little game went on for a bit; he kept suggesting we set up a new time to have a chat, and I’d just reply with “Give me a second, I’m nearly there.” I toyed with the idea of simply hanging up or telling him where to go, but instead, I finally provided him with the ‘registration’. I said, “It’s U-R-A T-W-A-T.” As he repeated it back to me, the realisation hit him that he’d been had. I burst out laughing at that point; it was absolutely brilliant! “Did you enjoy that?” I asked him cheekily. He wasn’t amused, to say the least. He fired off a few choice expletives at me, calling me all sorts, including a rather creative ‘effing c***’ - I must say, for someone whose native language seemed to hail from the Indian subcontinent, he had quite the vocabulary. Someone had clearly taught him well! I then had to remind him he’d been kept hanging for a good ten minutes, which only ramped up his fury and led to an even more colourful stream of insults. My laughter only seemed to infuriate him further, and before long, he hung up in a huff. To wrap it up, I can’t really endorse this firm, as their phone operatives lack a bit in the professionalism department. AVOID like the plague. I got a call from this number saying I'd been in an accident not so long ago. When I inquired about how they obtained such details, the chap claimed it was sourced from their research team. News to me, as the last incident I was involved in was donkey’s years ago, about seven years, and it wasn’t even registered under my name; it was in my work vehicle. The bloke’s accent sounded like it came from the Indian subcontinent. - caller: The claims centre.

01234 957996, got a call from an Indian bloke about some old insurance claim that was sorted ages ago. He kept nagging me saying i can claim for injuries i dont have. These people ought to be reported for making up false claims. Its about time the government did something to stop this. I had a minor bump, no one got hurt, but they keep pushing that folks can claim. This place is getting mad. Keep hassling insurance firms and watch our premiums shoot right up. Brilliant plan!

Glad the number showed up so I could see it was dodgy. I had a minor fender bender that was my fault, just reversed into someone but they weren’t in the car. Since then I’ve had these lot bothering me for two years. Proper happy I found this site, it’s brilliant!

Some bloke with an Asian accent called me on my mobile, saying he was from "The Claims Department" about an accident I supposedly had in the past three years. I get calls like this all the time from firms who’ve clearly bought my info from accident claim agencies. When I asked for his company’s name and details, he just hung up on me. I’ve even contacted my MP about these dodgy claim hunters and how they’re using what ought to be private information.

During the call, he mentioned an accident that I allegedly had. However, I informed him that I haven't been in any accidents and questioned his legitimacy. I also warned him that if he were to call again, I would contact the police. In response, he began shouting at me to go ahead and contact them. A pleasant surprise though, he hasn't called back after that incident ;)

When I tried ringing back to complain, they said they didn’t have an email or postal address, and I could hear them laughing, swearing, and speaking some foreign language in the background. They seem to be a mix from the UK and India. One particularly cheeky call came through on my mobile, which I promptly ignored due to the unfamiliar number, only for them to ring my landline thereafter! The same number dropped a call from someone claiming to be Lisa, or so she said, representing something called the "Claims Council"-her accent was rather thick, making it hard to catch much of what she was saying. In essence, it’s yet another scam operation out of India masquerading with a UK number to give the illusion of legitimacy. A word of advice - steer clear of providing your phone number to insurance comparison websites! I have a strong hunch that’s where these rogue callers acquire our details from. - Caller: Claims Council? Just another Indian scam, by the looks of it!

I rang them back and they said they were from Manchester, but had a strong foreign accent. The first call was from a woman, then on the second call a man answered. Seemed like those insurance claim people chasing leads.

I let it ring off then look it up online and block it if it's flagged by others. I reckon I’ve got more blocked numbers saved on my phone than actual mates and family!

Yesterday, I noticed a call I had missed that came from a number in the Bedford area of Bedfordshire. Drawing inspiration from Tracey's previous remark, I think I'll add it to my contacts list along with the rest of those pesky numbers. I plan on labelling it "Cold Caller - Do Not Answer." - unknown caller, of course!

Upon checking this site for the number, I stumbled across a prior comment concerning the Bedford (01234) area code. Got a call a few weeks back from a guy with an Indian accent about some accident. I told him my insurance was handling it and then hung up. They’ve been ringing nonstop but I’m just ignoring them now.

According to them, I was informed that there had been an accident involving me in the past three years. I clarified that I am a registered blind individual and therefore cannot drive. They seemed genuinely sorry and assured me that my contact details would be deleted from their database.
