This number, along with 020 3634 9914 and 01988 391 997, have all rung me as well. I've blocked all of them, but I’m curious about how they managed to get my info to begin with. I’ve hired cars from Enterprise not long ago - maybe that’s where they picked it up?

These so-called ambulance chasers really annoyed me. I thought I'd mess about a bit, so I agreed to some questions about a car crash from almost a year back - which never actually happened. I was curious to see how long I could keep him on the line. When he asked for my car’s registration, I told him I needed to find it and put the phone down to get on with some work. After a few minutes, I heard him say "hello" again, so I answered and told him to wait a moment. This happened a couple of times. He tried to book a callback time but I kept saying “hold on, I’m nearly ready.” Just as I was about to hang up or tell him off, I gave him a fake registration: U-R-A T-W-A-T. When he repeated it back, I think he realised he’d been played. I couldn’t stop laughing. I asked if he enjoyed that bit, but he was far from impressed. Then he started shouting insults at me, including some proper colourful language, which was surprising considering his accent suggested he was from somewhere in the Indian subcontinent. Clearly someone had given him lessons in swearing! I reminded him I’d made him wait a good ten minutes for that little joke, which only made him more furious - and the swearing kept coming. My laughter certainly didn’t help his mood, and he hung up soon after. All in all, I definitely can’t recommend this firm; their phone staff are extremely unprofessional. Avoid them if you can, or have a laugh at their expense like I did.

Got a call from an Asian guy wanting a chat. I told him straight up I’m not into setting up any fake accident scams.

Today I got two calls from this number with a Bedford code. I didn’t pick up either time, but when I rang back the second call, an American-accented voice told me the number isn’t active. Makes me wonder if they’re actually connecting through the States, probably how these scammers make their cash. That caught me off guard - the last time I had any claim was about seven years ago with my work car, and it wasn’t even under my name. 01234 957996, got a call from an Indian bloke about some old insurance claim that was sorted ages ago. He kept nagging me saying i can claim for injuries i dont have. These people ought to be reported for making up false claims. Its about time the government did something to stop this. I had a minor bump, no one got hurt, but they keep pushing that folks can claim. This place is getting mad. Keep hassling insurance firms and watch our premiums shoot right up. Brilliant plan!

Glad the number showed up so I could see it was dodgy. I had a minor fender bender that was my fault, just reversed into someone but they weren’t in the car. Since then I’ve had these lot bothering me for two years. Proper happy I found this site, it’s brilliant!

Some bloke with an Asian accent called me on my mobile, saying he was from "The Claims Department" about an accident I supposedly had in the past three years. I get calls like this all the time from firms who’ve clearly bought my info from accident claim agencies. When I asked for his company’s name and details, he just hung up on me. I’ve even contacted my MP about these dodgy claim hunters and how they’re using what ought to be private information.

They called me asking if I'd been in any accidents over the past three years, and I said the only accident was picking up their call! Then the guy, who said his name was Parker (though his accent made me question that), told me to 'F off'. When I tried ringing back to complain, they said they didn’t have an email or postal address, and I could hear them laughing, swearing, and speaking some foreign language in the background. Does anyone know where I can report calls like this? Who should I report these to???

It’s been over three years since my accident, which thankfully is all sorted now, but I still get around four calls a day from those ambulance-chasing scammers, some from the UK and others from India. The other day, someone rang me on my mobile from an unknown number, so I didn’t pick up, then they called my landline! The number was the same as one where a woman calling herself Lisa claimed to be from “Claims Council” or something like that - very hard to understand, thick Indian accent. In reality, it’s just one more claims scam pretending to be UK-based but actually coming from India, using a local number to seem legit. My advice? Never hand your phone number over to insurance comparison websites - I’m pretty sure that’s how these scammers get hold of your contact details! Caller: Claims Council? Just another Indian scam.

Just got a ring from a woman with an Indian accent, she said her name was Liza. She said the name of her company but it was all a bit muddled. I asked her to spell out the company name, and then she just went quiet and ended the call straight away. :) - caller: Liza

I rang them back and they said they were from Manchester, but had a strong foreign accent. The first call was from a woman, then on the second call a man answered. Seemed like those insurance claim people chasing leads.

I keep getting loads of random calls from telemarketers and dodgy firms chasing for money, so now I just ignore any number I don’t know. I let it ring off then look it up online and block it if it's flagged by others. I reckon I’ve got more blocked numbers saved on my phone than actual mates and family!

i get this call pretty regularly, and i enjoy keeping them on the line by saying stuff like “oh, yes, ive been in a little accident, thank you so much for checking up on me.” the longer i can keep the convo going, the less chance they have to bother someone else!

Yesterday, I saw a missed call on my phone from a number in Bedford, Bedfordshire. Seeing what Tracey mentioned earlier, I've decided to add it to my contacts, right alongside the rest. I’m labelling it as "Cold Call-Ignore" since I don’t recognise the caller.

Got a really annoying call on my UK phone while I was overseas. Just one of those pesky nuisance calls that come outta nowhere!

Got a call a few weeks back from a guy with an Indian accent about some accident. I told him my insurance was handling it and then hung up. They’ve been ringing nonstop but I’m just ignoring them now.

This number rang me about some accident involving me. My partner picked up and got all worked up, asking straight away what hospital I was in... it was quite amusing to see. Then they just ended the call.

Got a call at about 1.12 pm today. When I rang back, someone with an Indian accent answered, claiming to be from a claims department. I quickly told them they’d got the wrong person and ended the call. I’m not dealing with any claims at the moment! Feels like another one of those scams to me... It’s strange, but these calls usually start popping up right after I’ve downloaded an app on my phone. Maybe that’s how they’re finding my number. Just something to think about!
