It was a young guy calling, wanted to talk to me or my husband, who passed away more than 10 years ago. I told him it’s not possible and then I just got fed up and hung up.

Someone rang and asked for me by name, said he’s Michael from Next Gen or something like that, said they’re part of a government-approved scheme and was talking about replacing fossil fuels with heat pumps. Wanted to send someone round to check my boiler and give me a quote with all the details. When I said I’d rather discuss it with my gas man first, he got a bit rude. I then told him I needed to chat with my husband about it. End of call. I live in Hastings down on the south coast.
