I got some automated call telling me my internet had been hacked or something like that.

In just a few hours, I had two calls from the same number. I didn't bother answering either time, hoping they'd leave a voicemail. Of course, nothing was left - just the call dropping, which screams scam to me. Anyone genuine would drop a message, right? Only a tiny bit of my time gone, but still annoying. I received a rather dodgy call where a recording kicked off regardless of whether I spoke or stayed silent. Supposedly, it was the 'BT Technical Team' informing me that my internet service was about to be cut off. I was given the option to press 1 to have a natter with some dubious rogue looking to rip me off, or 2 if I fancied ending my internet connection there and then.
