My dad received a phone call from this number, and it seems it’s not the first time either. A chap with a Scottish accent claimed there were issues with a computer in our home. Given that I've got around eight computers scattered about, I dashed to grab the phone, but he had already informed the caller that there was no computer present. Honestly, what a missed opportunity! Being a young woman, the bloke quickly figured out I wasn’t bothered about the whole computer nonsense, especially when I told him I don’t even know how to switch it on. The caller, who said his name was Darren, suddenly started throwing personal questions my way, asking about my relationship and then even going as far as asking about my sex life. Honestly, I’m shocked and pretty upset about it. I tried ringing them back but couldn’t get through. Fingers crossed they call me again so I can properly tell them what I think. If anyone knows any way to reach these scammers, please give me a shout!

This number called me once, but before that, some bloke from India rang me on 05070000000000000 saying I had a major issue he could sort out. He asked me to grab my computer. I asked him who he was and how he managed to get into my PC, especially since I’ve got Norton security and all that. He spoke to me like I was thick. I just hung up. But when I tried to ring someone 10 minutes later, he was still calling me. Honestly, I don’t need this nonsense.

This morning I got a call from this number, some bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was Joe. He claimed he was from a company called "PC Wizard" and told me my computer had a nasty virus. I knew straight away it was dodgy. I told him I’ve got solid antivirus and if there was a problem I’d just take it to my local tech shop. He insisted the shop wouldn’t sort it and my protection wouldn’t help. I quickly said no way was I letting him near my PC or sharing any info, and asked him to remove my details from their records. Right after that, the phone just went dead. I did a 1471 trace and the number registered was 01234765093.

Got a ring from this number earlier... Thankfully I recognised straight away it was a dodgy scam. So, I pretended to be clueless and really acted the numpty. The bloke on the line, who sounded Indian, got proper annoyed. I kept him on for like 10 minutes winding him up good. Then I finally said I knew it was a con. He told me to "piss off" and just cut me off! Honestly, one of the funniest moments I've had in ages.

Not much to add really, but I gave Microsoft a call to let them know someone was pretending to be them. They quickly told me they never call customers out of the blue, and advised me to do a virus and malware scan on my computer just in case. I gave them all the number info, and they said they’d look into it. Later I got an email from them saying they’ve been trying to shut down this firm but it’s been a bit tricky. If you ever get one of these calls, definitely report it to Microsoft - it genuinely helps them take action against these fraudsters.

I got a call from this lot just now. Some bloke with a strong Indian accent was saying my computer had a virus that even Microsoft couldn’t fix. I told him I knew how to sort my own computer and didn’t need his help. He got really pushy, so I said cheers and hung up. But when I grabbed my phone again to check the number, he was still there on the line! I asked him to hang up so I could use my phone properly, but he wouldn’t. He insisted I had to listen and refused to get off the call. I told him not to ring me again and put the phone down for good. Honestly, these people are something else.

These lot rang me up the other day, so I thought I'd mess about a bit. The bloke said in this heavy Indian accent, “Hello, I'm Derek from Microsoft, your PC’s got malware.” Couldn’t help myself, so in the most dramatic, over-the-top Shakespearean style I could muster, I yelled down the phone, “ALAS! MY TRUSTY COMMODORE 64 IS IN TROUBLE! WHO SHALL SAVE ME?” Weirdly, the call just cut off straight away and I haven’t heard from them since. No idea why, but hey, I’ll take it! *shrugs*

This morning I got loads of calls from 002063971126. Every time I answered, the line just went silent. Proper annoying! After a while, I got another call from the same number and this time a woman with an Indian or Asian accent spoke. I told her straight up to stop calling and just listen! They keep ringing saying they’re from Microsoft - total scam, they have nothing to do with it. They try to convince you your computer’s broken. It’s rubbish, they don’t even understand proper computers. When I said I was running Linux, they just hung up on me. Then about 15 minutes later, I got a call from 01234765093. A bloke claimed he was from Microsoft too. I told him I was looking into fraud and he cut me off quick sharp. Had nearly 8 calls already this morning and it’s driving me crazy. I really don’t get why the phone companies can’t block this spam.

Just came across this site and had to share - that number is clearly a scam. What’s weird is that these crooks don’t even bother to hide it properly; if you ring it back, it’s like it’s not even a real number.

I got a phone call from this number claiming there was a virus on my laptop. I said my laptop was totally fine and mentioned I have a lad who's really into computers (which isn’t true). He just told me that was rubbish and my laptop was in danger. When I said I’d report his rude behaviour to the cops, he hung up on me. No doubt, this is a scam!

These calls keep coming through nonstop. Looks like they're actually from overseas but somehow get routed to make it seem like they're local UK firms.

I told them I use a Mac and not a Windows computer, but that didn’t stop them going on about some virus on my PC.

I just got a call from someone claiming my computer was infected with hidden malware. They asked me to switch it on so they could have a look. I fibbed and said my hard drive was damaged and the machine wouldn’t boot, plus I was waiting for a technician to come and fix it. The caller, speaking with a thick Indian accent, said their manager was qualified and allowed to fix it right there over the phone if I just gave it a go. It all sounded really sketchy to me. I bet they wanted to swipe my passwords or bank details! I ended the call, telling them I couldn’t cancel my engineer’s visit - it would be unfair to him.

Got two calls from this number, both times the person said my PC might have malware and asked if I could turn it on so they could check with me. The first time I asked the woman to send me an email with the info so I could think about it, and she just said "thanks very much" and hung up. The second time, a bloke who said his name was Neil (both had Indian accents) called. When I asked him to send an email, he said "it'll be too late". I told him I wasn’t interested right then as I was busy, and he said he'd ring back next week... weird. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam, so I’m not going to do as they want.
