Got a call from a cold caller who didn't bother leaving a message. I've got a clear voicemail saying cold callers need to ring my office and say why they're calling so they can be added to a list or leave a message so I can decide what to do next. If they don’t do either, I just block them. So this time, no clue what this dodgy caller wanted. My best bet is they're after my cash, but they can forget it - they’re blocked for good.

Honestly, if everyone just ignored cold calls, they'd probably die out pretty quick. But since some folks do pick up or respond, these companies keep at it. I personally avoid them like the plague and refuse to deal with any business that keeps calling or sending random mail. I've had to block a few completely because of that.

A number popped up that I didn’t know, so I just let it ring out. Not sure who it turned out to be, but another person looked it up around the same time as me, so it might be junk calls.

Had to deal with these lot who clearly prey on folks just trying to get by. When we mentioned we only use Apple stuff, it set them off with around 20 minutes of rude remarks. Definitely scammers, probably working from some overseas call centre.

Got a couple of really frustrating calls on my mobile today from what sounded like one of those spam bots. The pauses were weird, like they were trying to trick you into thinking it was a real person. Vodafone's now flagged the number as spam, so that's a relief.

Told him I was looking after the house and dog, then he wanted me to give a message to the owner saying she owes £100 to someone called Eadan. I asked if she’d know what it’s about, and he just said yes, to tell her that. Strange bloke!

Got a call and this lady from some call centre said her name then hung up on me straight away. About two mins later, she phoned back telling me there was an issue with my broadband.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who claimed my internet was causing a virus on my PC. She said someone from her team could fix it for me right then on the phone. I immediately told her they were just scammers and after that, she went totally quiet and didn’t say a thing.

This morning I got a call from 01234 741037, and the person on the line asked for my husband by name. It definitely seemed like it was from a call centre because you could hear loads of chatter and other voices in the background. I told her he wasn’t around, and since both of us are signed up to the Telephone Preference Service, I asked if she was familiar with the TPS. She didn’t seem pleased and just suddenly cut the call.
