This number popped up on my phone earlier today, so I looked it up here and yep, it's the same old rubbish. I've got a BT Call Guardian that filters every call. If the caller isn’t on my approved list, they have to identify themselves before my phone even rings. If they can’t speak, which obviously a robo-call can’t, the call gets ended straight away. Honestly, best money I’ve spent! Would definitely suggest it to dodge these scam calls. We’re ex-directory and registered with TPS, but some muppet must be flogging our details.

Picked up the phone and it cut off right away, then about 20 minutes later got a call from a different number 01213182227 asking if I'd been in an accident, which I definitely haven't.

This number popped up on my caller ID, but I didn’t bother answering. I popped over here as I usually do to check previous reviews and it’s just the same story again. This scam’s been about forever it seems. Fair play to Caller ID, it does the job when nothing else seems to!

Guy with an Asian accent, really hard to understand him. He kept talking about some accident I supposedly had. I told him I never had one, then he asked if a family member had been involved. I said no one had, and after that he just ended the call.

Had a guy on the phone with a really thick Asian accent, said he was from an accident claims team. He asked if someone in my family had been in an accident in the last couple of years. I told him no one had. Then he said he must’ve got the wrong number and just ended the call.

Since TalkTalk got hacked about three years ago, I’ve been getting about a scam call a week. They used to ring saying they were from my internet provider and wanted to fix a virus on my computer. Now it seems my number's been passed around to other scammers. I’m on the TPS and my number isn’t listed anywhere, so I can’t think of any other way they’d have it. If this keeps up, I might have no choice but to change my phone number. Every week you hear about people losing thousands to these con artists. TalkTalk are well aware it’s happening but honestly couldn’t care less.

Just another one of those classic accident scam calls. As long as BT keeps making a fortune from these types of calls, they ain’t gonna stop. Don’t expect your MP to care much either, same reasons really. Honestly, not sure why I even signed up to the TPS, it’s absolutely useless.

Had another one of those calls today??? After getting these nonstop, I told the Asian guy to hold on a minute while I was checking the number for fraud and reporting it. I asked him not to hang up ‘cause I wanted info about his company and all that, but guess what? He just hung up! It’s so annoying and honestly don’t think we’re properly protected here in the UK from these scam calls. Best thing is to just ignore unknown numbers or start asking them loads of questions straight away. They usually vanish pretty quickly!!!

Got a call from someone who claimed his name was Martin! Bit odd for an Asian bloke, if you ask me. He said he was ringing about an accident I supposedly had (which I obviously didn’t). We’re off the directory and on the TPS list, so this was a bit of a surprise.

Got a call from an Indian guy claiming I’d been in an accident. I said no right away. Then told him I once had a minor scratch in a company van but that was ages ago and all sorted. Told him I don’t work there anymore. Didn’t mention any company names. Then I said he didn’t know who he was speaking to. He kept saying “I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you”. So I just told him he’d rung the wrong number and he hung up.

A guy with an Indian accent then claimed he was from the Accident Investigation Bureau, but my wife just hung up straight away. Tried ringing the number back but it just said the number wasn’t valid. It was a woman with an Indian accent asking about a car crash, I said there’s been nothing like that and she hung up. Probably be another call soon, we’ll see. 24th August, 10:17am. Got a call from someone named Dominic claiming he was from the Accident and Investigation Dept. Told him it was a cold call, I’m on the TPS and this kind of call isn’t allowed. Asked him to make sure my number gets removed from their list. This person rang me three times straight. First, some bloke with an Indian accent was going on about an accident I’ve never been involved in. I just hung up. Then he rings back straight away shouting ‘WHY DID YOU HANG UP ON ME?’ so I hung up again. On the third call, he shouted ‘ARE YOU EVEN HUMAN? EVER HEARD OF COMMON DECENCY? YOU’RE USELESS!’ and then cut off. What a fantastic way to finish a tough week at work. Cheers, scammers.
