I got a call from 01234576367 not long ago with a robo voice saying my internet would be cut off by the end of the day. They told me to press 1 to stop it, but obviousy it was just a trick to charge loads on the phone bill. I just hung up straight away. Be careful and don't let these scammers scare you into doing something dumb like that!

On Friday, I got about five calls from this number. Each time, there was some American-sounding recorded voice warning me that my internet would cut off in 24 hours unless I acted quickly. Yesterday at around 2:15pm, some scumbags rang my 92 year old Nan and said something daft about her moving house "in thirteen hours." They proper scared her senseless! Got a call from someone claiming to be Openreach, warning me that if I didn’t carry out some checks, they'd disconnect me. When I asked a few questions, he threw out my account number, which honestly didn’t convince me at all. Then out of the blue, he said he was actually ringing from TalkTalk! At least he seems sure where he’s supposed to be calling from!

Had a missed call at 12:26 this morning, and I wasn’t sure who it could be. The number looked really similar to one I know, so I nearly rang back by mistake. For the last three days, I’ve been getting around six or seven calls daily from 01234578965. I never pick up, but I can hear them on the line and they just hang up without leaving a voicemail. I reported it to the police as harassment, but they said I should contact my phone company instead. Following their suggestion, I’ve been entering a code when the next annoying call comes through, which should block the number. Hopefully, this will allow my provider to track down where these scammers are based. Fingers crossed this info helps others dealing with the same thing.
