I received a rather unwelcome call today from someone who seemed dodgy at best! The individual claimed to be ringing me up on behalf of Sky, but I’m really not convinced. He went on about reducing a Sky contract that I don’t even have! Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Somebody rang claiming to be from British Savers, saying they wanted to ask about things around my home. I asked them how they got my info, and the woman said it was from a proper source linked to a phone survey I'd done. Some bloke with an accent, maybe Indian, rang up asking for me by my name. I asked who he was but he just kept repeating if I was so-and-so. When I pressed about the reason for the call, he accused me of being rude and kept saying, "Why are you being rude, ma’am?" Then he went back to asking if I was the person he wanted. I ended up hanging up and blocked the number straight away.

I answered the phone and heard a ringing tone, then it suddenly stopped like someone on the other end had picked up. I didn’t say a word, and neither did they. It gave me the vibe of one of those robotic calls, maybe some kind of bot would have started talking if I’d spoken first.
