My dad's 86 and keeps getting these scary phone calls. One lot was telling him they were going to disconnect his internet, which he doesn’t even have! Then someone else phoned saying he owed money on his Amazon account - bless him, he thinks Amazon is just that big rainforest place in South America!

Got a call from this number earlier, said it was coming from abroad. The voice had a strange accent and kicked off with 'Good Morning Madam'. I instantly thought it was a scam. Then she claimed to be ringing from BT, which was when I told her quite nicely to get lost and hung up. So frustrating!

The moment some stranger with an accent said she was Julia from BT, I was certain it was a scam and quickly hung up on her.
