Several calls came through from numbers really close to this one, but with endings like 85 or 89. That kind of slight difference always makes me wary. Each time, I suspected scam attempts and reported them. Now, they're all blocked on my phone.

Got a call on my landline the other day. There was a weird silence first, then a lady with an Asian accent asked if Mr or Mrs (my last name) was available. That instantly felt dodgy so I just ended the call. Curiosity got the better of me and I called the number back, only to hear some bloke with an American accent say nothing about who he was but claimed “Your call is very important to us” and told me to hold for an advisor. I’ve dealt with these sorts of calls before - all fishy - so I didn’t bother hanging on.
