Then, bizarrely, they ask if I have another number, even though the one they’re ringing me on is now associated with O2. It feels like a ridiculous scam just aimed at luring you into a different contract and grabbing your bank details.

They then proceed to inquire if I happen to have another number, as the O2 number they're calling me on is supposedly linked to my account. It all seems rather dodgy, and I can't shake the feeling this is a scam to lure me into a different contract or, worse still, to fish for my banking details. Quite absurd, isn't it?
