Some bloke rang claiming he was from O2, saying he could cut my bill in half. He mentioned something about sending a verification message. I just hung up straight away and blocked the number.

She put on a right act, claiming to be from EE. I have no doubt she was fishing for my personal details! Said my number was picked for a priority upgrade, but the cheeky thing doesn’t even realise I’m not one of their customers!

I didn’t pick up at first and tried calling the number back from my home phone, but it turns out the number isn’t even real. Pretty sure it’s a scam then.

Got a bunch of calls from different numbers but all from the same area code. Yesterday it was one number, today another. They keep acting like they’re from 3, but it’s all spam. Really annoying!

They said they were from EE but it was just a total scam trying to get my personal info. Pretty obvious it was dodgy.

+441233542900 is probably a scam number. I reached out to my network, Three, just a few days back and since then, I’ve been getting dodgy calls from other network companies. Honestly, Three should seriously check how their staff handle customers’ info, coz it’s making me doubt how safe my data really is with them.

Received a call purporting to be from the "contracts division of Vodafone." As soon as I made it clear that I had no interest, the lady on the line responded with a rather exasperated "fine, whatever" before promptly disconnecting. Definitely smelled fishy - looks like yet another scam attempt to me.

Claimed to be from EE, offering me complimentary upgrades. I ended up occupying their time for around twenty minutes, using a ‘poor connection’ as an excuse while I waited for an appointment. I even threw in a fake address for good measure! They mentioned that the billing department would reach out and then abruptly terminated the call. Guess I’ll return the favour and keep them on the line for a bit longer, maybe even give them a taste of my annoyance. Cheers to that! 👍🏼

I received a call purportedly from Currys PC World, touting some fantastic offers on their latest smartphones, alongside unbeatable mobile plan rates. They even offered to assist me in ending my existing contract at no cost! How thrilling is that?!

I received a call from a chap with a distinctly African accent who claimed to be affiliated with O2, suggesting he could adjust my tariff due to some fantastic offers that were only up for grabs today. I politely informed him that my number is listed with the TPS and requested that he refrain from contacting me again. He promptly ended the call.

The person on the other end was chattering quite rapidly and had a Chinese accent. The background was so noisy that I couldn't make out a word, so I politely asked her to hold on a moment and decided it was best to terminate the conversation.
