Got a call from someone pretending to be my internet company. I told them to wait while I went to fetch the person who pays the bills, but just left them waiting the whole time. They usually give up after about five minutes. Total scam, as usual.

Just got a call from 01233 542755 pretending to be Vodafone. They were trying to sell me a new phone with a 40% discount. Sounds like the same old scam as everyone else has mentioned about this number.

Some bloke called saying he was from EE, saying I could get 40% off my phone bill 😂 Asked for my email and name, which is a big red flag. If it was truly EE, they’d already have all my details, so no way I was giving anything out. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he was with Sky’s promo team and asking about my current payment. I said if he really worked for Sky, he’d already know my bill. He replied, “I’m with the promotions, not billing, so I need you to tell me.” I mentioned I was working and didn’t have any bills in front of me, then he just ended the call. I’ve now blocked the number and reported it to 7726.

Got a call from a woman who spoke with a thick accent, seemed Asian to me. She claimed to be ringing from PC World, even went as far as spelling out the store's name. She tried to push some sort of deal on me. I mentioned I’m on the TPS list and that I’d be reporting the call. She ended the call straight away. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Somebody rang me claiming to be from O2, said it was for a survey but kept asking really unclear stuff, so I just hung up.

I've had three calls like this over the past few days. The first one got automatically blocked, the second was from a guy called Robert, who sounded Asian and said he was from O2 - ended up chatting with him a bit just to waste his time. The latest one I didn’t even bother with, just declined and blocked straight away.

If you miss their call initially, they seem to end it in a jiffy. Then, as if trying again for luck, they ring back for a bit longer, yet still decide to cut it off after a handful of seconds. I've had enough and I've now blocked their number!

Got a text supposedly from O2 with some code, so I rang them up. They warned me that I'd probably get a call from someone pretending to be O2 and told me to just ignore it and block the number. Can you believe it? Only a few minutes later, the call came through! Total scam.

I’ve traced this number back to an Indian call centre that's notorious for pulling scams. Their approach often involves pretending to be part of a mobile service provider, dangling enticing offers to mislead unsuspecting individuals into revealing sensitive account information. Quite the con artist tactic, really!
