I don’t normally share my mobile number much, mostly just family or a few business contacts ring me. But today I got a call from this number, plus a couple of others that turned out to be scammers as well. It’s really frustrating. Feels like I’ve ended up on some kind of scammer’s hit list. Honestly, I wish these lot would just disappear for good.

I received a rather cheeky call from someone claiming they could cut my O2 bill by a whopping 35%. The only problem? I’m not even a customer of theirs! Once I mentioned this little detail, the conversation abruptly went mute. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Keeping a record of all these robbery tries is really crucial for the police. Right now, they haven't got a clear picture of how many of these scams happen daily across the UK. That’s the reason they created a straightforward system for reporting incidents. You can find info on how to use that system right here in this feed.

Got a call where the person said they were with EE. There was a lot of noise in the background, like loads of chatting going on. It didn’t feel very professional to me, so I just ended the call. Pretty sure it was one of those scam calls.

Got a call on my phone from someone claiming to be 02, saying they were offering loyal customers a 40% discount and a £30 goodwill bonus credited to my account. Something felt off, so I checked the comments here and it looked like a scam. I didn’t share any details, told them I wasn’t interested, then ended the call and blocked the number. I’m keeping an eye on my 02 account just in case anything dodgy pops up.

Got a ring from this number earlier. Initially, the caller claimed to be with O2, but when I asked them to say it again, they switched to saying they worked for Currys PC World. They then tried pitching me a contract supposedly half of what I currently pay. When I asked what network it’d be on, they wanted to know mine first. Definitely seemed like a newbie scam attempt. Best to avoid these folks.

Somebody got into my o2 account and swapped out my email for another one. I noticed it pretty quick though. I let o2 know straight away and their fraud department is handling it now. Luckily, they didn’t manage to do more than that, just the email change. Feel pretty fortunate about that.

So this just happened to me too. Someone was trying to sell me like an iPhone Max or something along those lines. I thought about messin’ with them and keeping them on the line for ages but then I remembered I had stuff to get on with. By the way, if you haven’t seen Jim Browning’s videos on YouTube, you should, they’re pretty hilarious. Weird we’re both dropping comments here at once!

Received a call from what they said was the EE Promotions Team. Oddly enough, they didn't possess any information regarding my contract or even my registered email address. They attempted to entice me with a 20% discount. I mentioned that I was uncomfortable sharing my address or any personal information, pointing out that if he truly represented EE, he ought to have that on hand.
