Got a call from 01233 542524, bloke said he was ringing from Currys PC World. Told him right away it sounded like a common scam and I'd be reporting it. Then he started calling me a bloody idiot or something like that. He kept going on about it not being a scam, blah blah, so I threw a few swear words his way and he just hung up on me.

Received a call claiming to be from Currys PC World. I pointed out that it sounded like a notorious scam and mentioned I’d be reporting the number. The caller insisted it wasn’t a scam and told me to shove off. I responded with some choice words myself, and then he abruptly cut the line. Definitely steer clear of this one!

Someone rang me claiming to be from a place called Kirby’s computers or something, said they sell tech stuff online all over the UK. I told him straight away I’m on the TPS list, so what they were doing was against the rules, and asked him to take my number off their calling list. Then he acted like he couldn’t hear a word I said before just hanging up on me. Definitely a scam.

I received a missed call from 01233542524 and shortly thereafter got a text stating that someone attempted to gain access to my account, along with a request for a pin to reset my password. Even O2 has explicitly warned against providing any pin codes over the phone, as they never ask for such information. If the service provider is advising that it’s a scam, it's best to take their word for it, isn't it?
