Interestingly, the caller mentioned they were based in Southampton, yet their phone number originates from Ashford in Kent, which is quite a trek-around 200 miles! After that, they informed me that a foam insulation firm would be in touch with me shortly. It all seems rather suspicious and has the hallmarks of a questionable company that might charge exorbitant fees, deliver subpar service, and push unnecessary sales.

So I got a couple of calls from a number that said something like UK Debt Collection or whatever. One was from this number, 01332323143. Every time I asked what it was about, the person on the other end just kept pushing to talk about some debt I supposedly owe. I’ve never owed a penny, so I blocked both numbers right away. Fingers crossed they don’t start ringing me from other phone numbers now!

Got a call that definitely sounded like a call centre. They began with something all garbled about a finance department and some issue I supposedly had, then asked if that was correct (!).
