I urge everyone to steer clear of this outfit - they’re nothing short of dodgy. They’ve been probing for information under the guise of needing to know if you’re in social housing or a council tenant with unresolved issues. When I pressed them for details about their data collection crew or their compliance with the ICO, they were utterly clueless. I mentioned potential GDPR violations and intended to follow up on that, and then they promptly cut the call. It seems this company, Housing Disrepair, isn't even aware of these unsolicited callers and will be looking into the matter. Just be wary, folks!

Someone rang up wanting to talk to a person from the charity I support. He mentioned it had to do with the charity’s electricity bill. I told him we don’t have any electric account in the charity’s name. Then he just hung up. It wasn’t until the call finished that I figured out it was a scam.
