Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from some British law enforcement, warning that a bunch of foreign hackers were trying to get into my computer and con me. Bit rich coming from him, seems like he was the one trying to pull a fast one. I played along until he asked what my screen showed, then told him it just said he was a fraud and to buzz off. He then warned my computer would crash soon, trying to frighten me. Problem is, this number doesn’t even have internet or broadband connected! So his scare tactics fell flat on me.

I've been receiving calls from this number quite frequently, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's linked to those Green Energy folks who also rang me just a quarter of an hour ago. Most of these calls come from call centres in India where the folks there are trying to trick you by pretending to be from companies like Microsoft, BT, or Amazon. They get really annoyed when you tell them to go away, and if you swear at them, they get even more upset. From their point of view, they think they’re just doing their job, even if we see it as a scam. In their culture, any job is considered respectable, so they don’t take kindly to being insulted. At the end of the day, I just tell them to sod off anyway.

I got a call about an issue with my computer, but she hung up in the middle of talking. Definitely a scam!

Got a call just after 10am today from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft - total scam, no doubt. He asked me to switch on my PC so he could supposedly sort out some problem. I played along for a laugh for a minute, then told him straight I wasn’t daft enough to fall for tricks from scammers like him and ended the call. What worried me a bit was that he already had my full name, address and postcode. My number’s listed in the directory so maybe that’s where they nabbed the info. Be careful out there and don’t let your guard down.

They didn’t even bother leaving a message, so it was obviously not a call worth answering anyway.

Got a call at 9:32 am, but we didn't pick up. Once it went to voicemail, the person on the other end just hung up. After reading some other people's notes, I reckon it was a good thing we left it unanswered!

Picked up the call but no sound at all, so I just blocked the number now.

I got a phone call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, saying there were problems with my computer. When I asked them for their phone number and mentioned I'd get my IT team to look into it, they just ended the call. I'm located near Newry, Co. Down.

Got a call in the middle of the night and there was complete silence on the other end. Really annoying to be woken up like that.

Had a call from John claiming to be from Windows - this is the second time I've had a ring from him this week. Before hanging up, he got pretty hostile out of nowhere.

They keep going with that ‘from Microsoft’ trick. I said I don’t even use Microsoft and they just hung up on me. Voice sounded like it was from somewhere in East Asia. Pure scam, no doubt.

Got a call from a number with no one picking up when I rang back. Wonder who it was?

01233510322 I usually don't pick up if I don't recognise the number. If it was something urgent, they’d just leave a message on my answerphone, wouldn’t they? Silly people.

Got a call from someone saying they were "John William" with a strong Indian accent, said he was from Microsoft. Really pushy and felt like a total scam to me.

So this bloke with a weird accent called, claiming he's from Microsoft. I found that hilarious since in all my 20 years using their stuff, they've never once called me - I’ve always been the one calling them. Then this muppet starts threatening, "I'm coming for you," and I was like, "buzz off." Pretty sure that’s exactly what I told him!

Some bloke with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from "Microsoft" rang me up, asking me to turn on my computer so he could "help" by getting access. When I told him I didn’t even own a Microsoft device, he started swearing and got really rude. Felt proper dodgy and a bit threatening. Clearly he knew a fair bit about Windows stuff, but honestly, was just harassing me.

I didn't answer cause it was a number I didn’t recognise. Good thing too, been getting loads of calls like that lately!

Somebody rang me saying they were from Microsoft, but it felt dodgy straight away. They tried pushing me to give remote access to sort out some 'problem' on my PC. Definitely seemed like a scam, so I just hung up. Better to be cautious with calls like that.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my licence. I told them that was odd since I’d spoken to Microsoft just last week and no one said anything then. I asked for their name and number, then said I wasn’t going to switch on my PC or share info until I’d called back to check they were legit. They got pretty annoyed and just ended the call. Definite scam.

Somebody rang me pretending to be from Microsoft, telling me there was a problem with my Microsoft licence. I told them it was odd, since they never brought it up when I called them earlier last week. I asked for his name and number, and said I wouldn’t let him anywhere near my computer or give out any details until I’d double-checked who he was. He didn’t like that at all and ended up hanging up on me. Definitely a scam.

Got a ring from 01233510322 today. It was one of those calls with a heavy Indian accent, telling me my computer’s got some kind of issue. Honestly, if you get a call like this with that strong accent and the same story, best just hang up straight away. It’s nearly always a scam, no exception. Don’t waste your time!
