Got a call from an Asian woman trying the old Microsoft scam on me. I told her she was lying, and then she turned around and called me a liar too! After that, she just ended the call. I don’t understand how these scammers are still allowed to carry on like this.

So, I got this email that said it was from Virgin Media about one of my devices maybe being infected. Then I got a letter saying that my device was infected with something called ADLOAD, which is apparently malware. To top it off, I got a phone call this afternoon, supposedly from Virgin Media as well, but the number looks really dodgy. Definitely feels like a scam.

Got a call from a bloke saying his name was Mike Tucker and that he was ringing from Microsoft. He was trying to chat with someone whose name he couldn’t quite say properly, about some issue with their computer. I told him that the person wasn’t around right now and asked if I could pass a message on. He replied he’d call back later. This was a landline number based in Ashford, Kent. I received a rather suspicious phone call from someone purporting to be from Virgin's tech support. They inquired about the kind of computer device I have, mentioning that my router was underperforming and in dire need of fixing. The chap had a noticeable Indian accent, which made me a tad wary. He might have had the best of intentions, but I wasn't convinced. When I requested to have an email sent to me, he suddenly balked at the idea. Cheers, John M.
