2 yearsI got a recorded message claiming there was an unusual big payment from my bank to somewhere unfamiliar, and they needed to confirm it was me. The robot voice told me to press a number if it wasn’t me - turns out, that number was actually the same as my local area code. When I rang up my bank, they confirmed it was a scam. It’s mad how these tricksters now fake local numbers to try and fool you. They also tried to drop Amazon’s name in there.
