So, I answered this call, only to have the line dropped immediately. Just before the abrupt end, I caught a glimpse of a bloke’s voice. The code '01231' isn’t recognised as a proper area code, which raises a few eyebrows. Perhaps it’s someone fishing for a valid number, which could mean I might be graced with another call in the near future. Forewarned is forearmed, as they say! I’m on TalkTalk, so that might explain why they tried to reach me.

It’s the same kind of scam as what others have said, best thing to do is just put the phone down.

For the past day, I’ve been getting constant calls from these numbers, clearly trying to dodge my call blockers. It’s so frustrating. Honestly, I hope these callers face some of the terrible things their victims have had to go through. They’ve been ringing from 01231499721, 001231499721, and even 1231499721, switching it up. TalkTalk just ignores all this and acts shocked when you complain. Seriously, it’s time everyone considered switching providers away from TalkTalk.

They’ve been nonstop bothering me again in the past day, switching between these numbers to dodge my call block. Honestly, I hope they go through some proper harsh experiences like the poor folks they’ve been bugging. Here’s what they’ve called from in the last 24 hours: 01231499721 (one zero), 001231499721 (two zeros), and 1231499721 (no zero). TalkTalk just sits there doing absolutely nothing, acting all shocked like it’s new... we really ought to consider ditching TalkTalk for good.

They rang me about ten times yesterday, but only once did I actually pick up, and that was a struggle in itself. They tried twice more today, but after I mentioned that I’d lodge a complaint if they kept pestering me, they suddenly decided to cut the line. Quite cheeky, really!

Can anyone enlighten me as to who keeps ringing our landline incessantly?

I received a dodgy call claiming to be from TalkTalk, trying to persuade me to log into my computer and grant them access. It felt very much like a scam!

I recently received a phone call from a lady with an accent that sounded rather foreign, insisting she was from Talk Talk and that there were issues with my internet connection. When I hinted that it might be a scam, her tone changed dramatically, becoming rather aggressive. At that point, I decided it was best to just hang up.

Got a call today from someone who said his name was Kelvin and he was with Talk Talk. Claimed my internet router wasn’t working properly and needed to get in remotely. I told him in no uncertain terms that’s a big no from me. Pretty sure they’re fishing through that stolen data from the Talk Talk hack last year. Makes me question what Talk Talk is actually doing to sort this mess out?

Got a call on 01231499721 earlier today from someone named Kelvin, said he was with Talk Talk. Claimed my internet box wasn’t working right and asked if he could get in to fix it. I flat out refused and told him no chance. Seems like they’ve got their hands on data from that big cyber breach Talk Talk had last year. I’m left wondering, what is Talk Talk actually doing to stop this mess??

So they said they were with TalkTalk, but I told them they had the wrong details as I only have broadband for my phone and TV, no PC at all. Then the person said "oh" and just ended the call. I tried calling back and kept saying hello, but the lady on the other end disconnected too.

Got calls from this number three times yesterday, but no voicemail was left. Today they rang again and I think an Asian man left a message for Steve saying I wasn’t home again. I’m registered with TPS and have blocked the caller now. Lately, I’ve just been answering and letting them ramble on with no response from me.

Yesterday they rang me three times without leaving a voicemail. Today, I answered and caught what sounded like an Asian man leaving a message for someone called Steve, saying I'm not home again. I'm on the TPS and have blocked the number now. Lately, I've been just answering and letting them babble away on their own.

Got a call this morning that woke me up - totally a scam! When I asked them to show some proof, they just got rude and dodgy. Don’t let these cold-callers anywhere near your computer! Best to contact TalkTalk on 150. You can also report the incident through the TalkTalk site or even on the Action Fraud website. Stay safe!

I've had this woman with an accent, saying she's from Talk Talk, calling me loads these past few days. It's really starting to annoy me because I keep telling them that I don't have Talk Talk, but they just cut me off mid-sentence quite rudely every time!

Got a call from some so-called TalkTalk support, trying to get my nan to let them on her PC using remote access software. There was a man and a woman on the line, both with Indian accents. They pretended to be helpful, showing usual error messages in the Event Viewer and claimed it was due to dangerous files downloaded from the web. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it.

Total scam. A call centre pretending to be from TalkTalk phoned my grandma, trying to get her to install remote access software on her PC. We got a couple of callers, a man and a woman, both sounding Indian. They built trust by pointing out common errors in the Event Viewer, claiming they were caused by harmful files downloaded off the internet.

Got a call around 2 pm from someone saying they were with Talk Talk. They said there was an issue with my internet and kept pushing me to get on my computer immediately! I told them I wasn’t ready to do that and ended the call. But then they rang me back like 5 times! I’ve since checked with Talk Talk and they said it wasn’t from their side. Don’t share any details with these lot.
