I ignored the call since it showed as an unknown number. The ringing wouldn’t stop and I couldn't end the call myself, eventually they just gave up and hung up.

got two calls this morning, both automated. The first one was pretending to be from HMRC, saying i was being investigated for tax evasion or something urgent like that. then the second call was from Crown Utilities, said they wanted to talk about my utility bills. obviously a scam, so i blocked the number straight away.
