I swung by to find out if others have received calls from this number. Turns out, they have! So, I’m contributing my experience to the mix. Seems to me it’s likely a scam or some sort of dodgy business.

Yesterday I got a call from this number, but our BT Call Blocker stopped it 'cos it isn't saved in our contacts, so the phone never buzzed. The caller didn't identify themselves quickly, so we couldn't decide if we wanted to answer, and they didn't leave any voicemail either, which I find a bit dodgy. After checking what others have said, we've decided not to block the number for now.

I lingered on the line for a bit, curious about what they were peddling. The chap insisted they weren't trying to sell me anything. Instead, he claimed they wanted to inform me about some sort of government reimbursement scheme concerning heating costs. When I pressed him on the reason for the call, he mentioned they required my personal information to forward it to the government for a potential refund. He threw in some mention of Green Energy as well. It smelled distinctly like a scam, so I decided to cut the conversation short. It was just rather odd to see Millom pop up on my caller ID.
