An Indian woman rang and claimed to be from some insurance-related outfit, insisting that my insurer had tipped her off about potential compensation for a car crash I supposedly had. Funny enough, she couldn’t even name my insurance provider, and when I probed her about her own company - AJ, Motor Assist, or whatever it was - she sounded quite flummoxed. She didn't have any specifics about the alleged accident - no dates or details about any supposed injuries. It felt very much like she was fishing for info either to put a claim in my name or to pin something on me.
