I just got a call with some automated message about an issue with my internet and that it’d be cut off in a day if I didn’t talk to their tech team. Thing is, I don’t even have any internet provider, so it’s clearly a scam to me. Total waste of time.

This is definitely a scam, no doubt about it. I got a call from a robotic voice claiming to be ‘Shirley’ who warned me my line would be cut off because of some security issue unless I hit 't' to get a ‘free’ service. I really wish there was a way to track these folks down and give them a taste of their own medicine.
