6 yearsI got a call with a robotic message saying it was Amazon about some Amazon Prime account I supposedly set up, which i had no clue about. Then some bloke came on the line, his accent was all wrong for someone called Alex Smith, which is the name he gave. He asked me to verify my phone number and if I owned other devices like a laptop. When I asked how that was relevant, he said he'd put me through to security who'd check my info and send a form for cancelling. I ended the call despite him begging me to stay on.
