I got a call from someone claiming to be from the bank's fraud team, telling me money had been sent overseas. When I asked which card it was on, she said it was my Barclays credit card. I told her she was lying because I don’t even have an account there. After that, she just disconnected. Definitely felt like a scam.

Got a call from someone called Charles, sounded Asian, saying something about £600 being withdrawn from my bank, all that nonsense.

I got a robocall saying £600 had been sent from my account abroad and to stay on the line to speak with an advisor. Since I did send some money overseas earlier, I got quite anxious but ended the call and rang my bank straight away. Turns out the call wasn’t from them at all. This feels like a really risky scam. Don’t fall for it. Banks never use automated calls to get in touch with you like that.

My 93-year-old neighbour got a call the other day and she was really distressed. Some nasty scammers had convinced her that £600 was taken from her bank. We rang her bank straight away and it turned out to be a total scam. It really shook her up.

Got a call from an automated voice saying £600 had been taken from my debit card for an overseas transfer. I looked at my bank account and there was nothing like that showing. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.
