7 yearsThis month I’ve already gotten loads of calls about Amazon Prime. It’s usually some recorded message from a lady with an American accent. Thing is, I don’t even use Amazon Prime, so I figured it’s all dodgy. One time, a real bloke answered and I told him straight off to bugger off and that he was trying to scam me. He kept insisting it wasn’t a scam, but I just ended the call anyway.Amazon Prime7 yearsThis number rang my home phone but I didn’t pick up since it looked unfamiliar. After it went to voicemail, I listened back to find an automated message saying I should press 1 to keep my Amazon Prime account active. Thing is, my landline isn’t linked to Amazon at all and they never call customers like this. So it’s clear scammers are just dialling numbers randomly.
