Yesterday, I got a call on my home phone from a bloke who had a thick foreign accent, definitely not from around here. He said he was from HMRC but his tone got quite nasty fast, accusing me of dodging taxes and even threatening me with prison time soon! I was pretty certain right away he wasn’t a genuine HMRC guy, but it was still a really uncomfortable chat.
